I just tried Silent Steel: Adamantium with version 1.19 and noticed that none of the TGA skyboxes display anymore. It just shows the standard Doom 2 skies.
I tried Braham and Q2Doom, and noticed that their TGA skyboxes didn't appear either.

Hmm, strange... I made skyboxes for Doom2 and Heretic, they seem to work perfectly for me.

It's because parsing of all MAPINFO lumps didn't properly handle map replacements, so engine ended up using first version (from basev) which has no skybox.
